To all Employees, Contractors and Visitors

This document sets out the Safety Policy of our company and specifies the means provided to achieve that policy.

It is policy of this Company to comply with the Safety Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005, The European Communities (Protection of Workers)(Exposure to Noise) Regulations 2006. The Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (General Applications) Regulations 2007The Safety Health & Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2006 & The Confined Space Code of practise 2010 to ensure so far as reasonably practicable the Safety, Health and Welfare of all employees whilst at work, and to provide such information, training and supervision, needed for this purpose.

It is the Policy of this Company to protect, so far as is reasonably practicable, persons not employed by this Company who may be affected by our activities.

It is our objective to provide, so far as is reasonably practicable, a safe and healthy work environment and it is our plan to meet our obligation’s as prescribed in the Safety Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005, (No. 7 of 2005) and all the subsequent regulations.

The allocation of duties for safety matters and particular arrangements to implement the policy are set out in the Company safety statement.

The policy will be kept up to date particularly as the business changes in nature and size.  To ensure this, the policy and the way in which it has operated will be reviewed as required.

The success of this Policy will depend on your co-operation. It is therefore important that you read this document carefully and understand your role and the overall arrangements for health and safety.

Quality + Environmental Policy Statement

MDTC aims to become a leading provider of waste collection facilities and other related pipe and tank support services as indicated in the quality  manual.

In meeting the above, MDTC  also aims to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering reliable, high quality, cost effective services  within agreed time frames thus generating the returns required to:

  • Reward stakeholders for their investment.
  • Reward our people for their efforts.
  • Provide the funds to support future operations and company growth.
  • Provide a stable and enjoyable work-place for the entire  team.

MDTC  is committed to the continual improvement of its performance by the monitoring of quality issues and through involvement with customers, suppliers, regulatory authorities and the community.

To assist with the above MDTC  has implemented a Management System with a view to meeting the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 and 14001:2004.

Compliance and improvement is monitored by operation measures and internal audits and is maintained by the timely implementation of preventive and corrective actions.

Meeting these standards is the responsibility of the entire team. MDTC  is therefore committed to working with all stakeholders to support effective operation of the company’s Quality Management System and the achievement of goals and specific Quality Objectives.

  • Identify and evaluate the environmental aspects associated with waste collection, drainage surveying, testing, maintenance and repairs, and other operations in order to control and reduce any environmental impact, including the prevention of pollution.
  • Ensure the responsible use of natural resources and the minimisation of waste and energy consumption.
  • Implement the training of employees to ensure that they are environmentally aware and that neither they, the community, nor the environment are exposed to harm as a result of MDTC operations.
