Emergency Blockage Cleaning Services
Munster Drain Services are Corks leading blocked drain service provider. With over 30 years expertise we offer customers across the county a rapid, professional and effective service in fixing all types of drainage and sewerage problems.
For Munster Drain, there is no drain or sewer too big or small to unblock. Our Domestic Division can unblock drains with diameters from the standard household sink drain of 50mm, right up to your connection to the public sewerage system.
How do Munster Drain Services unblock drains?
Sewers and drains are cleaned by using high-pressure water, to break up the mass causing the choke and draw the debris towards the main public sewer or the septic tank. The water is pumped under pressure through a specially designed nozzle which directs jets of water at the choke and the surface of the pipe to break up the debris and allow it to flow with the water downstream towards the main sewer or septic tank. These van pack units are highly mobile and can respond quickly with the latest equipment to restore the flow to your drain, saving you time and money.
Common issues would include:
- Blocked toilets
- Blocked sinks
- Blocked showers
- Blocked gullys
We also invest heavily in our staff ensuring that all of our personnel have the most up to date training and are accredited by relevant trade associations for high-pressure water jetting and confined space works so that you can rest assured you are being dealt with by competent and knowledgeable operatives.
What should I not flush down my toilet?
Do not flush anything down your toilet other than human waste and toilet paper. As tempting as it is to flush cleaning wipes, sanitary products and cotton buds down the toilet, these do not break down or degrade in the same way toilet paper does which will lead to your toilet and drains becoming blocked.
The following items should never be flushed down your toilet:
- Baby & Cleaning Wipes
- Cotton Buds
- Food Waste
- Fats, Oils and Grease
- Plastic Bags
- Nappies, Bandages and Plasters
- Needles, Syringes and Sharps
- Chemicals, Bleaches and Cleaning Liquids
- Tiling Grout, Plaster or Cement
Drain Cleaning Maintenance Programmes
More customers (predominantly businesses) are discovering the advantages of setting up drain cleaning maintenance programmes with us. By regularly cleaning out drains, the risks of emergency drain cleaning & unblocking are greatly reduced, as problems are detected and resolved before they have a chance to become significant. Depending on the property this is usually carried out 2-4 times a year and we set the cost-effective maintenance programme up to suit a particular business schedule or opening hours.
